loved this share! i’ve developed a similar routine though my night and mornings end and begin (respectively) a little later than yours. i’m trying to shift it so that i have more time in the mornings, but alas! it’s winter and my body wants to go into deep hibernation. with that said, the coffee piece really resonated as it’s the first thing i do when i get out of bed and the one act that motivates me to climb out of the comforts of my comforter. i’ve found that yes, light is extremely important in melatonin production and circadian rhythm entrainment but temperature has a big role as well, so i tend to make it a little colder in the evenings as i tuck myself in and a little warmer during the day. i’ve also found that high-intensity exercise in the evenings tend to affect my sleep, so i’ve kept away from that, though occasionally i’ll do some yoga. meditation and mindfulness practice is also a great habit to incorporate into a morning and nightly routine as it helps with focus and winding down.
